La Bienal de Artesanía de Cheongju comenzó en 1999 como la primera bienal de artesanía del mundo, y a lo largo de los últimos 20 años, se ha consolidado como un evento cultural internacional que abarca todas las formas contemporáneas de artesanía. Cheongju, la ciudad anfitriona de la Bienal de Artesanía de Cheongju, es el lugar de origen de la antigua cultura de la herrería en Corea y de la revolución global de la impresión y la información, donde se fundió la primera impresión tipográfica en metal superviviente más antigua del mundo, el Jikji. Mil años de historia y cultura viven y respiran en esta ciudad, y se ha creado un enorme flujo de historia en armonía con el entorno natural. Cheongju Craft Biennale
Bienal de Artesanía de Cheongju Como acontecimiento cultural que observa los sentimientos de las personas en la actualidad

Concurso Internacional de Artesanía:

Exposición de países invitados:
Arrojar luz sobre el presente y el futuro de la artesanía mundial en una exposición especial organizada en colaboración con uno de los principales países invitados.
Feria de artesanía:
Plataforma de distribución de artesanía para fomentar las industrias artesanales.
Programas educativos:
Diversos programas para ofrecer un acceso fácil y divertido a la artesanía.
Conferencia académica:
Fomento de la cultura y el discurso artesanales mediante estudios en profundidad a cargo de especialistas.
Cheongju, la Ciudad de la Artesanía
Cheongju, la ciudad anfitriona de la Bienal de Artesanía de Cheongju, es el lugar de origen de la antigua cultura de la herrería en Corea y de la revolución global de la impresión y la información, donde se fundió la primera impresión tipográfica en

La región central del país, donde se encuentra Cheongju, alberga hornos kiln, un pueblo Hanji (papel tradicional coreano) y una ciudad artesanal que conserva el legado y la belleza de la artesanía tradicional coreana.

Concurso Internacional de Artesanía de Cheongju
El Comité Organizador de la Bienal de Artesanía de Cheongju presenta el Concurso Internacional de Artesanía de Cheongju (en adelante CICC).
El CICC, lanzado en 1999, es un escenario de oportunidades donde los artistas artesanos tanto nacionales como extranjeros pueden mostrar al mundo su talento.
Consta de dos áreas: 1) el Concurso de Artesanía, para obras de artesanía que reflejen las tendencias del arte y la artesanía contemporáneos y transmitan valores de futuro, y; 2) el Concurso Craft City Lab, que invita a presentar propuestas (ideas) sobre investigación, planificación urbana, exposiciones, proyectos, etc. para identificar a organizadores cualificados en artesanía.
Esperamos la participación de muchos con obras creativas e ideas que puedan ampliar los límites artísticos y promover la prosperidad de la artesanía y la sociedad.

The Cheongju Craft Biennale began in 1999 as the worlds’ first craft biennale, and over the course of the last some 20 years, has firmly established itself as an international craft cultural event that includes all contemporary craft forms. Cheongju, the host city of the Cheongju Craft Biennale, is where Korea’s ancient culture of ironware originated from and is the home of the global print and information revolution, where the world’s oldest surviving metal type print Jikji was cast. A Thousand years of history and culture live and breathe in this city, and an enormous flow of history has been created in harmony with the natural environment. Cheongju International Craft Competition (CICC), launched in 1999, is an arena of opportunities where craft artists at home and abroad can show the world what they’ve got.

Cheongju, the City of Crafts
Cheongju, the host city of the Cheongju Craft Biennale, is where Korea’s ancient culture of ironware originated from and is the home of the global print and information revolution, where the world’s oldest surviving metal type print Jikji was cast. A thousand years of history and culture live and breathe in this city, and an enormous flow of history has been created in harmony with the natural environment. The nation’s central region, where Cheongju is situated, is home to kiln sites, a Hanji(traditional Korea paper) village, a craft town preserving the legacy and beauty of traditional Korean arts and crafts.

Cheongju International Craft Competition
The Cheongju Craft Biennale Organizing Committee presents the Cheongju International Craft Competition (hereinafter CICC).
The CICC, launched in 1999, is an arena of opportunities where craft artists at home and abroad can show the world what they’ve got.
The CICC comprises two areas: 1) the Craft Competition, to solicit craft artworks reflecting trends in contemporary arts and crafts and conveying values of the future, and; 2) the Craft City Lab Competition, which invites proposals (ideas) on research, urban planning, exhibitions, projects, etc. to identify qualified organizers in crafts.
We anticipate participation by many with creative works and ideas that can expand artistic boundaries and promote the prosperity of crafts and society.
